When I was working with JJ and Justine for their engagement shoot, it occurred to me that the NYC skyline behind them might make a great backdrop for video. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do (we never discussed video for their engagement session) but I knew I had to try something.
The video certainly could have used the help of external microphones and a tripod, but this was a last minute idea and something none of us were expecting to do. I didn't end up using much of the footage but there were a few lines that tugged at my emotional side and compelled me to make this short video. Few days later, I heard this song on the radio and I knew immediately I would use Sia's Breathe Me as the background music.
What do you guys think? The couple loved it and said I could absolutely display it for our followers and so I wanted to get some more opinions on video/photo engagement sessions. This isn't an original idea, they've certainly been done before- but we, of course, would do them a bit differently. I can't wait to work on another one.
